Words We Speak

It has come to my attention that our words can have effects we don't even realize. We have generational effects, effects that plant seeds of every kind! The Lord tells us in His Word, "Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sights, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer." Ps 19:14. We do things we never thought about and change our plans for the smallest thing, but our words.....Stop and realize that those God has placed in your circle of influence, albeit that they may be 2, but we truly aught to stop and be willing to change our words, for no other reason but that it is pleasing in the sight of God.
We can't change how He feels about us, but we can change the way others see us, simple by yielding to His power and Spirit and well......Be nice or just be quiet!

Out of the overflow...

Out of the overflow...God is always there for us, but...have you ever noticed when you are obedient, following in the ways God has laid out for you, that you just know He's there. It is times when we are "walking our way" that we seem to wonder where He is. Pastor Stovall's sermon yesterday, continued to call to mind the concept that "out of the overflow, we serve Him". When we surrender to the commands in the Bible, ie.. prayer and fasting, isn't amazing where we find the strength to do HIS will and not our own. Thank you Lord for always being faithful and ever present!

Real Mothers...

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother....

Special Assignment

You know, as Mom's we are on a "special" assignment from God! We often loose ourselves in our children. God has given us the roles of lovers, drivers, referees, etc...But, we have and often will forget that we have been touched with the goodness of God! The knowledge that we have been "chosen" to be lovers, drivers, referees, etc...and that we are the ones that nurture the future generations of the world. Take a moment and reflect on all the women, Moms, that have sewn into you over the years, especially before you even were a Mom. No matter where you come from or the path you taken to get to this very moment, God knew where you were and who you were and was leading you to today! Trust in Him today to give you all you need to be who you are and who He's "chosen" you to be !

Aligned!

Are you walking in alignment with God? Have you tapped into His never ending supply of love, mercy, grace, and peace!? He waiting for you to simply listen and obey! Cry out to God, He wants to hear the desires of you heart!

Are you in agreement?

We learned this past Sunday that we need to be in agreement with God! Have you ever thought about the "mental" effects of what you eat? Me neither! But, by spending time praying and fasting, you find your thoughts in many directions. Time you'd spend cooking for example, well....not what?!? Right! Well, how often have you told yourself you'd spend more time in prayer, well, tomorrow or you would spend more time reading the Bible.
